Red Crone starts working for a glazing contractor in California, laying the foundation for the family’s involvement in the industry.

1954

Red Crone opens Crone Glass in North Hills, CA.

1981

 Kelly and Scott Crone launch Commercial Architectural Products, Inc (C.A.P. Inc) in Colorado, with a 50/50 partnership.

1986

Kelly and Scott purchase their first brake press and shear, marking a significant investment in technology and innovation.

2004

Kyle Crone begins to work for C.A.P. Inc, displaying dedication and vision that would soon propel him further within the company.

2016

Kelly Crone retires, and Kyle becomes president of C.A.P. Inc. In the same year, C.A.P. Inc expands the facility with new construction and enhances brake metal capabilities, signifying growth and technological advancement.

2022

A strategic acquisition transforms C.A.P. Inc into Crone Metals, LLC, shifting focus to sheet metal goods. Scott and Scottie retire, and Mark exits the business after the acquisition. Kyle Crone takes sole leadership of Crone Metals, entering a new era of excellence guided by the company’s core values and mission.
